Info

The sophomore single from Plastic Beach is one of the few tracks on the album containing no credited featured artists, and is perhaps one of the finer pure pop singles the band has released over the course of their 10 year tenure in the pop charts. The video, which debuted exclusively on iTunes, is a part sequel to the Stylo video from earlier in the year and also gives the first glimpses of Noodle and Russel since they were last seen in the Demon Days era. One of Gorillaz' most accomplished promos to date, it chronicles each member's journey (as well as many of the album's guest collaborators) to the Plastic Beach.

What They Said

"The Melancholy Hill - it's that feeling, that place, that you get in your soul sometimes, like someone's let your tyres down. It's nice to break up the album with something a little lighter. It's good to have something that's a genuine pop moment on every album. And this is one of those." - Murdoc Niccals
