Gorillaz' debut EP coincided with the launch of the web site www.gorillaz.com. The limited edition EP was released as a 12" and enhanced CD, which contained a special biography section and introduction to the band.

Although both the title track and Rock The House appear in the same form on the band's debut album, the version of Latin Simone on this EP features 2-D on lead vocal. 12D3 is exclusive to this EP.

This EP did not feature in the singles chart as it was ineligible due to the quantity of tracks and - on the CD - enhanced content.
